Apple has addressed a severe vulnerability, CVE-2025-43300, that exposed iPhone and Mac users to unauthorized access through malicious image files delivered via iMessage or email. The zero-click exploit targets Apple's Image I/O framework, allowing attackers to compromise devices without user interaction.

Cryptocurrency holders face heightened risks, as the flaw grants hackers access to crypto wallets, exchange credentials, and sensitive recovery phrases. Juliano Rizzo of Coinspect warns that automated processing of iMessage attachments can lead to full device compromise.

Apple confirmed the bug was Leveraged in sophisticated targeted attacks, though the company hasn't disclosed specific victims or perpetrators. The fix comes as security experts emphasize the particular vulnerability of crypto users who store digital assets on Apple devices.
